Watched Ride with the Devil again last night and got an itch to game the situations. I will use 28mm. Advice on best ranges, aside from the plastic, and rules suggestions (wild West?) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance H

Foundry does a nice range of Quantrill and friends.

Rules are uncountable, based on how many figures you want to field. A six man shootout? A company sized battle?

Easy: Dead Man's Hand with the Foundry figures. I suppose if you want to do Lawrenceville you could graduate to a larger scale system but mostly this conflict is about skirmishes. Second prize for figures goes to the Perry's. There's also Company D but the figs are a bit amateurish in comparison.

Dead Man's Hand for small games, Sharp Practice for larger ones

I visited this site as a Napoleonic buff and got some great advice, into an era about which I knew absolutely nowt.

I had seen Clint Eastwood in the film. Obviously I had heard of Quantrill, even growing up in UK, then the James Bros, but Anderson was news to me (hard man, but …..fair)

Please do update us if you take this further. My youngest son, of three, has some weird obsession with the whole topic, which will take him to Missouri soon for his doctorate. Sounds a thoroughly unpleasant business to me. Give me Waterloo any day

I do a range of Missouri / Kansas figures – companyd.co.uk

Swing by and take a look – available in U.S. at Badger Games
