Anyone know of a source for 1/600 or 1/700 contemporary dhows?

Sorry David, I can't help you, but I hate to see a post go by without a comment. I've been there, it's a bit like shouting into a hurricane.
Are you after sea-going dhows?
Perhaps you could scratch build a single hull, make a cast using Oyumaru, auction then cast some off using Milliput or similar.
