From our recent survey – TMP link – it seems that 76% of you don't smoke, and 16% don't smoke any more… so it seems like only 8% of gamers are smokers. |

I think smoking in the general population is probably seeing a decline although I don't have any hard stats to back it up. If it weren't bad for you and more socially acceptable I'd be a smoker! A nice little nicotine buzz is always relaxing. |

I only smoked while I was in the Air Force, and quit the day I EAS'd. I have an occasional nice cigar, maybe 1 a month, but haven't touched a cigarette in 9 years. |

In my younger years we used to smoke at the game table. When we would game at the shop we pretty much all smoked and would take breaks at the end of each round.
These days I quit and my last game group didn't have any smokers. Also the local shop I have visited a couple times didn't seem to have many miniature player smokers, but lots of Magic players who would go out in herds did. |

I see a few gamers smoking in the outdoor smoking areas at conventions, but I don't think I know anybody, gamer or not, who smokes cigarettes. Some friends and I do enjoy a fine cigar now and again, but they are not gamers. |

Personally, I never had and never will. One of my groups is either referred to as the Gentlemen Gamers or the ATF for short. The T stands for Tobacco, but ever here it is people who generally do not smoke but do enjoy a fine cigar or a pipe on occasions. In my other group we have one person who vapes. |
