A follow up to last weeks blog. I have now painted the Daimyo figure and two of the cavalry. However, I am suffering a bit from Painters fatigue! The results are not quite what I imagined them to be…

I think they look great.

I feel ya sometimes it just doesn't go the way you hoped.

I've just converted some Khorne Beastmen out of NorthStar Gnolls. Conversions went OK but some how once painted they just don't match how I imagined they where going to look when I started. I can't seem to get the Northstar Gnoll faces not to look like comical cartoon dogs instead of terrifying followers of the blood god.

If its any consolation I think your minis look pretty good.

They look good.

Even well-designed and well-cast samurai figures can cause painters fatigue. I did 500 Old Glory and Perry samurai. Sometimes I loved the results, and sometimes I felt like the payoff wasn't enough. Samurai have got to rate at the top of any list of projects started, but abandoned.

But I promise you, that if you stick it out, and keep painting at this level, your table will look terrific.

Look good to me

Given the complexity of kabutos, sode and duo not to mention the lacing I have been very reluctant to try my brush on samurai armour!

I´m not brave enough to paint Samurai. They look great and will look even better when, as you say, you´ve added the decals and basing.

In the above picture, I almost agree with you – they're OK, but not great. Then I went to your blog – and I realized the picture itself is not great. There is something with the focus that compromises the quality of the paint job.You have other pictures where the minis look fantastic!

Long story short – you can't make a complete judgement based off of one picture.
