Does anyone have a firing arc diagram for the Handley Page Hampden? I'm having trouble finding out how far the ventral gun could depress.

Thanks!

Akkkk….The BUG!

Well, at least Red Alert does look like another good game from Richard Borg! I let a friend know about it, and he backed immediately. Hopefully, it will include a firing order diagram for the Hampden's ventral gun! ;)

Looks like the same ship models for both sides just different colors. Lazy.

Not lazy. Cheap. Injection molds cost a lot of money.

Agreed, not lazy, a cost control measure for an untried game. Also, the background is a civil war.

Supposedly, if this does well, there are plans for additional factions with different ship designs.

The larger ships appear to be a good bit longer than the hexes. This could be a problem if a lot of ships are in play.

Not sure how long the oxygen supply in a Hampden would last and is it up to a re-entry ?

Trierarch08 Jun 2018 12:07 a.m. PST

I don't think the Hampden was able to reach orbit, so re-entry shouldn't be a problem.

I've seen a comment suggesting max 45 degrees depression for the ventral gun, but looking at a lot of pics suggests maybe a bit more. Unfortunately nothing definitive.

Red Alert: I chocked on the high entrance fee, but a friend was less timid, so looking forward to see how this shapes up!

Hampden: I've never heard or seen this before; was there ever an issue of confusion with what look like, to these old eyes, similar German aircraft?
