Great work and thanks for sharing – makes me think I need to order some of their buildings! |

Nice work. I just picked up a Sarissa house for AWI gaming, and was thrilled at the easy assembly, and ease of painting. Unlike you, I made the rookie error of assembling the whole darn thing before I started painting. Since the whole kit is not very expensive, I'm going to get more buildings and try the rolls of brick and stonework you can get at model Railroad shops. Yours is very nice, and inspirational. |

Looks like you found a great idea! I do not like modeling but I found out I enjoy painting buildings after finally spending a few "soldier dollars" on buildings instead of soldiers. Collected too many buildings then, but oh well. Have fun! |

Thanks for the kind words, men, as you can see, there are still some rough edges (literally) that will be taken care of. I just wanted to post the results because I have no patience. Manly hugs, Steve |

Sarissa has a very nice range of kits. To really get the nice look, a small container of "lightweight spackling" works like a champ. You have a a lot of big gaps between the panels. A little spackling works miracles on those. Better yet, all those pilot holes on panels used to fasten the panels together too. After applying the spackling, let drive then sand. I would highly recommend spackling over your model, and re-paint. Your model, your call. Take care. P. |
