Peter Lorre! Not only 112 screen credits on IMdB, but bio says he ran away from home, and then spent the 1920's travelling as a stage actor in Europe — suitable to appear in many real life adventures as well as reel life. ^,^ |

Sidney Greenstreet. He's a man suitable as an evil mastermind on a variety of levels. Really, at the very top, all you need is two Sidney Greenstreet figures in a suit--one bareheaded, one with fez--someone in lab coat, someone in a black uniform, and Fu Manchu. Everyone else is a minion. |

Sydney Greenstreet was man who alway the pure business man, out to a make a buck the easy or if forced the hard way. |

In fairness to Greenstreet, he could play a decent human being, and sometimes did. It just seems a waste when he did ruthless so well. And as Wackmole says--not crazy or sadistic; just not interested in anyone else. From a certain perspective, the completely rational man. I don't much care for the perspective, but there are a lot worse. |

Sally 4th makes Peter Lorre and Sidney Greenstreet. Someone makes a Groucho Marx figure. I think it is either a Darkest Africa Foundry figure or Pulp Figures. Someone makes Laurel and Hardy in French Foreign Legion outfits. Abbot and Costello from Africa Screams or WC Fields as Mr. Macawber from David Copoefiled might be good. |

Greenstreet for the mastermind, Lorre for the subservient henchmen (playing to typecast) and the three stooges as the gang of incompetant thugs. Probably all wearing TV Batman style striped shirts with the word "THUG" on them. |

Oddly enough, I have often wished for a Harold Lloyd figure, as a stand-in for a Pulp era Matt Murdock (Daredevil). Ron |

I use the Pulp Figures Peter Lorre a lot--it seems like there's always a reason for him to be hanging around in a scenario. But I'd certainly like to find a Groucho as Captain Spaulding figure. Couldn't find one in either Pulp Figures or Foundry. |

I've got a Captain Spaulding figure. I think it was from Copplestone, although I can't see it in their catalogue now. Perhaps it's out of production. |

Mr. Greenstreet is an ideal figure for both the villain, and also as the go-between or even patron for the heroes. Groucho? Well, why not his entire band as a merry little band of sidekicks to the hero? Or even as a third party, there for their own interests and meanwhile messing up everyone else? |
