I noticed that the SK rulebook uses ranges suitable for 6mm miniatures in the Deluxe ASL manner.

I want to use my single-based 1/72 plastics (and metals) to play ASL scenarios I have (bundles of them). Having played ASL before, the SK rules seem to suit me just fine.

I was wondering how badly would the scaling of distances affect the gameplay (triple the distances for HQs, artillery and other stuff)? Random rolls for artillery deviation might be ok, considering that the Artillery "template" would become a 6" diameter area instead of 2". What ground scale would suit my minis best?

When I played it with 15mm troops I doubled all measurements (so 1" in game is 2" on the table) and it worked fine. The same should work for 1/72

You could try tripling the distances.

That would be, a bit more, in line with 1/72.
