I chose British, I like their toughness and grit in the desert. My group is playing North Africa, and nobody is better.

Awesome Cavcrazy. Personally, I always wanted to build a force of Desert Rats using their Long Range Trucks and Jeeps for either Bolt Action or Flames of War. That project is stuck in the dreams pile for now, but maybe someday. :)

Pick an army that you can still love when you (inevitably) loose. Avoid 'Army of the Week' syndrome.

I have early war Brits & late war NW Europe Brits. Both armies fun.

bsrlee… So true about buying what you like and avoiding the army of the week syndrome.

A buddy of mine min-maxed his collection of Bolt Action so all of his troopers had Assault Rifles. He finished near the release time of version 2. Version two seriously reduced the effectiveness of Assault Rifles. They are still good, but not as awesome as they were.

I haven't seen him since and miss the guy. Moral here, don't build just to win, build a force that you can enjoy win or lose.

Remember the adage about bolt action-

Do you think you're winning?
Wait a turn

Do you think you're losing?
