Alla Vittoria!

Oops, excuse me. Wrong thread…

To Victory!

Great looking stuff.

To the eye of this rivet counter, it looks like you have set up mostly a mid-war force, rather than an early- or late-war force (which are the more common in my experience). Was that intentional? Just wondering … wouldn't begrudge anyone choosing to use pieces that are standing-in for some similar items, or even for suggesting an early appearance (or late hold-over) of a piece that is out of it's timezone. In some ways mid-war is the broadest compromise short of building two or three distinct sets of Soviets.

Nice work. You might try a dip or wash on the t-34 and some weathering.

A good looking force.

Thanks men.

As for what year Who knows? I painted the figures that came in the box. (Shrug.)

Grossman, I have purposely chosen not to go the 'weathering route' with my WW2 stuff. I have done it many times in the past, doing everything from dirty knees to mud splattered shields and such. Sometimes, though, I just like the guys to *look* like toy soldiers, if that makes any sense. it sort of brings me back 50 years to my childhood.

Having said all that, there is a wash over the T34 and much more depth than the photos actually show. I tend to do multiple shades and thickness of washes when I use them; this was no exception.

Thanks again,
Manly hugs,
Steve
