The first three novels of my Great Martian War Series, "Invasion", "Breakthrough", and "Counterattack" are being released as an omnibus volume in June! All three novels under one cover: "America in Flames". This includes the three novels, plus some new material. There are two interludes set on Mars, exploring some of the politics there, as well as a section giving short biographies of many of the historical characters in the books. Available for pre-order here: link

Hey Scott will there be further novels in the series? I enjoyed the first three and a looking forward to more.

There is a spin-off book called "Texas Front" which I co-wrote with another author that is due out this summer. Depending on how well that is received, there could be more of those. I'm also working on Book 4 of the main series which will be about the war in the world beyond America. I'm hoping to have it done this year. The long range plan is for Books 4, 5, & 6 to be the second trilogy and then there will be a final trilogy wrapping it all up. But that's a ways off yet :)

Now, don't go selling the rights to HBO until you finish it, Scott. Unless of course they back up a truck to dump bundles of hundred dollar bills on your lawn.
And beware ComicCon! Nobody given the choice of posing for pictures with Natalie Dormer sitting on your lap or sitting down with your trusty James Bond model Olivetti typewriter makes the decision that pleases his fans.

John, when HBO comes and asks to buy the filming rights to my stories, you can be absolutely SURE I will tell them they have to wait until I'm all finished. No worries on that count. Nope, not a one. Nope! Nope! Nope!

Winston Smith21 May 2018 12:49 p.m. PST

What about Natalie Dormer?

ScottWashburn Sponsoring Member of TMP21 May 2018 5:50 p.m. PST

Only if she's going to play Becca Harding.

Scott, will this be available for Nook through Barnes & Noble?

ScottWashburn Sponsoring Member of TMP22 May 2018 4:17 a.m. PST

No, afraid not. Since the individual novels are already available in e-book format, the publisher is not doing so with this one. If you want the extra material you have to buy the paperback. It's one of those marketing ploys you know :)

Sergeant Paper22 May 2018 11:46 a.m. PST

Dragon speech to text software takes care of the Natalie Dormer problem (you can hold her in your lap whilst you dictate your novel)… assuming you can get her there to start with. A published sci-fi author with multi-trilogy plans ought to be just the ticket. Good luck, post pictures!

Sir, do you plan on having a e-book format of this at a later time? Also keep up the great work and looking forward to the Texas Front.

beingshort106 Jun 2018 12:27 p.m. PST

Out of wondering curiosity, do you plan or every thought of moving this under kindle words opening up so many stories that could be told?

ScottWashburn Sponsoring Member of TMP06 Jun 2018 5:23 p.m. PST

beingshort1: an e-book release would be up to the publisher, but I don't think he plans one. As for your second question, I'm afraid I don't understand.

There is now a 'pre-order' for a Europe Ablaze, taking the action back to Britain. Set for the end of Nov.

Are you still scribbling it?

Uh, yeah, it is still very much in the writing phase and probably will be for a while. I rather doubt I will meet that November deadline :(

Bowman11 Jul 2018 7:49 a.m. PST

Don't let that get in the way of sales! Lol.

Actually, your omnibus version is on the way to Canada already, according to Amazon.
