Guys, I've finally got enough of my old AWI 15s remounted on round bases, to show how they might now look ready for action. I was convinced this [on-going] project would be worth it, after have done the same with my until-recently, forlorn ACW 15s - TMP link To think these started off a couple decades ago mounted up for the Volley & Bayonet rules (now they finally have some room to breathe)…..hope you like the views.

They look nice. After struggling through "25mm" basing for 1776 for years, I decided that "room to breathe" is the ONLY valid basing scheme around. Let the rules adapt to ME, and not vice versa. |

Winston – SO TRUE! There's been times I've wanted to advise gamers exploring mounting for V&B – that they "don't do it", and if they do prepare ahead of time for easier re-basing. Today, any multi-figure basing I do is done using magnet sheet and flexible, "rubber-base" glue. As above, the bases were punched from magnet sheet, and the figures attached into the glue – each base remaining slightly flexible, light, and less likely to perform as an "anvil" to bend my soft Polly Os against. |

Very Nice! After following your posts I'm 'going round' with my ACW Project. |

FlyXwire: I'd recommend you draft / prepare an article for ACW Gamer Ezine so more people will be exposed to this. R'/ Joe |

I like the round bases on the Infantry. Look really nice. I have recently did my artillery on round bases and liked the look. BTW the terrain is outstanding. |
