Since not all the Russian infantry (by 1805), had changed over to shakos what would be the odds of at least one hussar regiment still wearing mirletons? Thanks.

Low-ish, I would say (my opinion).

Their were only 8 regiments of hussars to equip, and in general the hussars were more stylish and image-concious than the far more numerous infantry. Also, the order to change headgear was over a year earlier (30 April 1802 O.S. vs. 19 August 1803 O.S.).

Also, the wear-out time was about right. 6 of the 8 Hussar regiments had been converted from Light Horse regiments and 1 from Horse Jägers in Novemebr 1796. (The eigth, Oviopol, had been converted from Light Horse in 1788.)

That said, I do not know off-hand of the recorded issue dates of the new shakos by regiment.
