I finally finished my Volunteers of Ireland unit. I've had these kicking around the workbench for a while now. Feels good to finish them up. The basing here was tricky and I've attempted to replicate common SC terrain.I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I've also tried a new method of furling flags and am quite pleased with the results. It seems to really work well with the larger flags and holds the shape as intended.
Lord Rawdon raised this unit, which eventually became the 2 nd American Regiment. The Vols were a fighting unit that served with distinction at Camden, Hobkirk Hill and the defense of 96. Tough Irish lads!!
