"Todo el mundo conoce el trágico final de Joaquín Murat cuando, queriendo emular a su cuñado Napoleón, regresa a Nápoles con la intención de recuperar su trono. Hay diversas memorias y obras que relatan como terminó su aventura, pero en el archivo de los duque de Osuna, fondo del duque del Infantado, hay un conjunto de documentos remitidos por el apoderado y administrador de las propiedades del Duque en Pizzo (Italia) donde relata la captura de Murat, su encarcelamiento y el juicio que terminó con su fusilamiento. En las cartas, Francisco Alcalá, declara que él es la persona que en principio captura a Murat, además de la posterior relación que mantiene con el prisionero al estar encarcelado en el castillo que el duque del Infantado tiene en Pizzo…."
