That should read Atjeh Oorlog in Dutch.

The translation to English gives you a very condensed version.

There are plenty of photos so use 'Atjehoorlog' as keyword search in Google and click on the pictures option. From there you should find bloggers who cover the period.

Use the same keyword at YouTube and you may find documentaries, both in English and Dutch.

Cheers,

Thanks for everyone's help.I find it amazing that there is hardly anything in English on this 30 year war as interest in late 19th century colonial campaigns is quite high. There are some campaigns that are only a few months duration and there are volumes of reading material but not on a 30 year war. There are hardly any figures made also. I've only seen some from Tiger Miniatures.

Osprey should do a book..also I used Rafm 25mm Riel Rebellion Britsh for my Dutch..now they don't match w/larger Tiger…remember I built my army in the 1980's.

I was reading an older thread and someone said the Tiger minis were not accurate at all.Is this true?

One final question, when did they start wearing the bush hat?I saw a photo of a cavalry unit in 1906 wearing them. Also saw some cavalry wearing something similar but a little odd looking in the late 19th cen.
