I've been looking into re-fighting Kolin. It's not as simple as it seems. I've posted this load of waffle on how I got to where I've got to. It's all a question of yards!

Interesting. I did the battle in Volley and Bayonet so really didn't have the space issue. I, however, wanted to start the action when the Prussians started the flank March, so the Hussar fight is important. I have now painted up all the hussars I ever want to. In any event, it was a long table but the scenario is an interesting one to play, especially with the Austrians moving as blinds behind the ridge.

James,

Enjoyed the ‘waffle' and far more digestible than the overseas breakfast option.

This battle has been a favourite of mine, but I found the most of the rules system I looked at could not replicate the demise of Wied's division well enough; some allowed for a quick recovery from the surprise attack and others easily repelled the Prussian cavalry.

Cheers,
Robert
