Just found out about this private museum in Starkville, Mississippi (home of Mississippi State University, my alma mater).

According to the information on the web site, the owner has collected or built all of the types of gun carriages and ancillary pieces associated with a Civil War artillery battery.

I'll have more to relate after the program on the museum that will be presented at the weekly "History Is Lunch" series at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson, Mississippi, on May 30.

Jim
