What colour should Duchy of Warsaw guncarriages be painted? I assumed French artillery green; but period pictures show a dark shade that might be Blue/grey. Since they were given Prussian captured guns, woould they be in Prussian colours? |

IIRC the consensus of the earlier TMP post of similar question ( cannot locate) was that they were left in the color of the originator. Period close to 1807-09 probably has many capture Prussian ( 1806) with French issue replacing for 1812 campaign launch. So you are on the right track! I believe Stephen has great information on the Artillery situation by campaign and will hopefully chime in as well as others soooo sit tight! |

Contemporary prints show them grey with red wheels – so much nicer eh? |

Green Tiger – I want this to be true. If they really were grey with red wheels, I'm getting some Polish artillery. |
