link Not that I got around to watching past the first series, as I don't consume much mainstream entertainment these days, but I got the impression that some people enjoyed it. |

Well dagnabit, I was one of those that really liked this show. One of the very few shows that had realistic space travel and combat. |

I really enjoyed it too. Probably one of the best shows on TV currently. Damon. |

So looks like i will be going back to not watching SyFy channel again. I find it odd that they would cancel the show half way through the season. People will definitely tune out now knowing the show is not continuing, you would think that advertisers would be upset with this announcement. |

So looks like i will be going back to not watching SyFy channel again Yep, they are short sighted. Expanse is one of the top rated shows in its genre, even beating Krypton. Btw, I don't see the point in watching Krypton since they will all die anyways -- so who cares what they do? Seems like everyone wants to create the next Game of Thrones megasmash so they are trying to mimic its -- lets do sex, betrayal, violence and sex in space!! Meh. I mean, just read this summary of Krypton episode 7: "As the infected Voice of Rao enslaves his attackers, Jayna escapes. Daron is forced to confess his complicity in the plot to Brainiac, who allows him to live as long as he executes Nyssa with the other conspirators. Seg and Lyta learn of the failed coup and Nyssa's house arrest. Having survived, Dev finds Lyta, and helps her search for Jayna. Nyssa thwarts her father's attempt to kill her, and escapes with Seg, who has come to help her as payback for her saving Lyta. When Jayna is found, she reveals to Lyta that she joined the coup to save her daughter's life. Dev reveals that he has been enslaved by Brainiac, and the Zods must join him or die. Lyta manages to kill him. Seg, Nyssa, and the Zods stage an assassination attempt on Brainiac, knowing they cannot harm him but hoping to incite the citizens of Kandor by forcing him to reveal his true alien self. The plan backfires when Brainiac makes a showy display of fiery power that he positions as a manifestation of Rao." Meh. They did the same thing with The Magicians, so over GoT'd and sexed up it didn't fit the books very well. Meh. SyFy should tell good stories, surround the competition with their content instead of trying to replicate someone else's success, and then dominate the category while others try to then out compete you. Instead they can a great show because they are short sighted. Hopefully Amazon or Netflix will pick it up. |

I liked The Expanse, but it took work to follow. You got rewarded, but you also had to work at it. I suspect that low ratings were in large part due to people who missed a few episodes and couldn't get back into it, and people who didn't start watching and couldn't get into it when they did. Even with the way one season has a cliffhanger into the next one, The Expanse strikes me as a hard show to pick up at the beginning of a new season. |

Agreed – decent show – hopefully it will get picked up – if not the novels will help to continue to tell the story |

I suspect someone else will pick it up, Netflix probably or even Amazon. SyFy's motto: "We never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity!" |

My favorite SciFi show on TV right now, only one I'm watching on regular TV. Time for more reality TV crud I suppose. |

The Expanse getting dumped really burns. It was a hard show to just jump into, but was well worth the effort. One of the few really adult, and by adult I mean mature and thoughtful, sci-fi shows out there. |

Ridiculous delays in bringing each season to the UK which pretty much begged bittorrenting |

SyFy is really killing off the good shows. I binge watched the first 2 seasons of The Expanse that I missed in order to be caught up for this season. Just watched this week's episode last night(DVR). Wonder what stupid show they will air in place of it. But odds are it will be something I won't be watching. Comet has better SicFi than SyFy. |

I think it makes a better show than book, if you take my meaning. |

That makes it a perfect show for Netflix or something similar, where you can always start at the beginning. |

Read the books by James Corey on which this show is based. Reading more and watching less is a good thing. |

Hey, maybe we'll get another wrestling show in its place. Or more CSI reruns. |

You are lucky that you still have the Syfy channel, they dumped it here ages ago. Netflix is good. |

It always saddens me when shows I never heard of get cancelled. If you've actually heard off all the shows active at this moment, you either get paid to follow such things, or you have absolutely no life. It's been a while since I had three options to pick from- two bad weather turned the NBC signal to so much snow. And test patterns in the wee hours. My child thinks I grew up in the Dark Ages. But I digress. |

I liked it … too bad … But Syfy is known for making such decisions. But I guess as with the History Channel, it's about ratings and in turn profits … Sadly … |
