Hi.
Could do with some help with finding out what these guys wore.I see Egyptian spearmen mentioned in the Army Lists for the Late Achamenids, but can't find any information about them anywhere.

If anyone has information, I would love to hear from them.

Many thanks davejl

Couldn't find information for the late army. The Montvert Publications "The Achaemenid Persian Army" by Duncan Head has an illustration of an Egyptian marine on plate 4. He is wearing a full length white linen tunic with short sleeves, a linen cuirass which was adopted by the Persians, and a similar helmet. He has a tower shield reaching almost to the top of his head. a long spear, and carries a sword on his left side. Costume and dress may not have varied too much from 480BC to the time of Alexander.

Thanks. I'd thought of sticking to the marine u inform, but wasn't sure if things had changed. Thanks for the input guys.

Just got to see if my 60mm figure supplier is going to make any. They look really good and would look great on the wargames table.

Best Wishes Dave
