I'm looking for a source for 15mm flags for the Prussian army of the Franco Prussian War. Anyone know where they can be purchased? |

I use Warflag for my Prussian flags. For 15mm you would just have to resize them. The French flags on Warflag qre only for the 1st Corps of the Army of the Rhine. You'd have to have software to allow you to change the unit designations to get the other corps' unit flags. Jim |

I would advise against the Warflags flags which are labellled as Franco Prussian War Prussian Flags. They originate in a book on flags by Wise and Rosignoli, and the shape of the cross (the major symbol on the flags) is completely wrong. This was actually admitted in a note in the book itself, but it didn't make it through to the Warflag reproductions. If you want to use Warflag you are better using the ones in Napflag for post 1806 Prussians. The ones with a black cross are much closer to the later Designs, indeed some of these pattern were still carried in 1870. More common was a design in which the wreaths of foliage are green and silver, rather than gold. I believe Signifer produce some 15mm. It is possible that the 10mm ones produced by Pendraken might fit your 15mm flag poles. They are by far the most accurate ones I have seen. |

Thanks Mollinary. Appreciate your expertise. Looks like Signifier is still selling flags. I didn't realize they were still around. |

You are welcome Dave. We actually had this self same debate in a thread here ten years ago, in 2008! |
