Posted this yesterday but it has disappeared when the bug hit it. So I am sorry if others have already seen my question!

Has anyone played red book of the elf King yet? I know it is not out yet but it's on preorder and looks very nice. But I haven't found out anything about how it plays. Any ideas from anyone?

So far I know it is skirmish of some kind, individually based, and possibly uses special tokens but I'm not sure if normal gaming tokens work in this role or you need special purchased ones. Apart from that I've not seen anything about how the rules work or if they are simple or complex.mhow Magic works and how combat works?

Thanks to you all for any info you've found and can share!!

I just looked at the pre-order site, spurred on by your post and pictures of the elf releases in Wargames Soldiers and Strategy. Looks like it uses both chits and cards. The site says you can use your own cards (regular playing cards?) but that if you purchase faction-specific cards you unlock special abilities. Haven't played the game yet, but it does look interesting!

You can check out a recent episode of the meeples and miniatures podcast. They interviewed lucid eye and talk the red book.
