Does anyone know the whereabouts of Paul Darnell of Touching History? I'm just wondering how he is doing.
It's been several years since he gave up model making for sculpting large works of art. I'm not sure how that worked out for him.
I'm hoping that he is well and past his troubles.
We were discussing his models on another forum and I came across this picture of some of the Early American buildings that he made for me.
Here are a couple:

I also have a Medieval Village from him. I started to convert it into a Rohan village by adding Horse Lords
symbols and banners.

His stuff was always top shelf. Such a shame.

PS John OFM, These are BARNS. Not that MDF stuff.

I can't help with his whereabouts, but would just like to add what a huge influence he was in my own building making. His books and displays were exceptional, he was a very pleasant chap to talk to in person as well. All I know is he had a big fall out with a so called professional wargamer, it was all over this website a few years ago.

I own a couple of his Block Houses which I bought when he was getting out of the hobby. Very nice indeed. I own all of the Touching History books, even for periods in which I have no interest. Great contributor to the hobby and he is indeed missed.

The above link takes you to he modelling website of a certain Pauk McDonagh -not Darnell.

I found P Darnell unreliable, and his book on modelling ECW scenics seriously lacking on anything relating to a star fort.

I don't think that is the same person: name on website is Paul McDonagh – not – Paul Darnell – ?

nevinsrip25 Apr 2018 1:46 p.m. PST

No it's not. McDonagh is not Darnell.

My apologies for the link, I was mistaken.
