Well, it's been coming for a while, especially as I didn't post much in February and March, but I'm just a few hours away from passing 1,000,000 page views on my blog (see screen shot at link).

link

The blog was started in May 2008, and it started very slowly at first. Over the years my hit rate has gradually crept up, along with the number of followers, and now trucks along at 8000 hits in a quiet post month and around 12,000 when I post more frequently. I think my busiest month was 27,000+ hits.

Over the last ten years I've posted over 560 times and the most popular post, still up to be read (we won't dwell on the show that no longer exists, because neither does the post), is "Long Time No Post" about some painting additions to my Italian Wars stuff in June 2017, which has somehow received over 5000 visits.

link

I nearly always put a link to new posts here (except when selling stuff, because rules is rules) and TMP always comes top of the referring sites in my stats analysis, TMP generally provides around 3% – 4% of my readership.

I would like to thank Bill and the editor team for the service that TMP provides, and the membership of TMP, not only for visiting my site but also for the general help and encouragement they provide, and for sorting out life's little wargame problems (usually quickly and without fuss).

Thanks, Very Much,

James Roach (aka olicana)

James for me it is very easy to visit – indeed I look out for and jump on any new posts on your blog.

It has been the inspiration for a number of my hobby activities and I hope will continue to be so for many years. While I enjoy your battle reports I really like the posts about the constructions of your armies and the earlier ones about how the room came together.

Thanks
Richatrd

Well done. I have had a total painting and blogging block for fifteen months and have done nothing on mine – but still am amazed that it ticks over. Will get back to it – I pay for the damn url after all. You are inspiring me to get cracking.
