How often are you forced to compromise on your wargaming due to time, money and space?

ZULUPAUL Supporting Member of TMP21 Apr 2018 4:31 p.m. PST

Frequently, especially time. I game usually at my brother's home so getting time coordinated is sometimes hard.

JimDuncanUK21 Apr 2018 4:34 p.m. PST

None at all other than reasonable family issues and health issues.

I have plenty of free time, mojo and hobby friends. I have a 17 x 10 hobby hut and a 12 x 4 table.

No shortage of figures either.

All the time.

Titchmonster21 Apr 2018 5:22 p.m. PST

All of the above. Time is the real killer.

Allen5721 Apr 2018 5:40 p.m. PST

Time more than anything. Seems like being retired I should have all the time I need but I find many ways to waste time.

Meh … coordinating other people to play is my biggest issue. We do that once a month. Within that construct, I have plenty of money, time, and space to put on games.

14th NJ Vol21 Apr 2018 6:02 p.m. PST

Time is my big hobby killer. "The Wife" always seems to have a house project that sucks up game time.

Ragbones21 Apr 2018 6:20 p.m. PST

All the time.

Hlaven21 Apr 2018 7:02 p.m. PST

All the time. All 3.

joeltks21 Apr 2018 7:25 p.m. PST

Time and time again.

warwell21 Apr 2018 7:41 p.m. PST

All 3

Money, money, and mo' money… it's all I really need to make my Hobby Dreamz happen.

vdal181221 Apr 2018 8:40 p.m. PST

Time is the hobby killer for me. I need more time!

Bunkermeister Supporting Member of TMP21 Apr 2018 9:23 p.m. PST

I am always allowed any two out of the three at any given part of my life. When I work, I have money, but no time. When I retire, I have time and no money.

I live alone in a house, so time and space are not a problem. Money though, well…

Now that I have all three I am gripped by ennui.

Time primarily … I may be recalled to the mothership before I get everything painted. That I have already ! Let alone there are always some new things that often come out that I would like too … frown

huron725 Supporting Member of TMP22 Apr 2018 7:15 a.m. PST

Money and space, no. Time is the real struggle.

Personal logo Extra Crispy Sponsoring Member of TMP22 Apr 2018 7:20 a.m. PST

Nope. I have a great local game club. It meets 2-3 times/week. I rent a small space for storage/table (and the business). I have a substantial collection and spend what I want, which is actually very little these days.

wrgmr122 Apr 2018 8:47 a.m. PST

Space for figure storage is my biggest problem. I'm at the point where I have to sell figures to make space for new armies I paint.
Time, yes work, housework, family it all takes up this precious commodity.
Money, I budget and have a fairly large figure pile to paint.
Our group games once a week, which I usually organize.

advocate22 Apr 2018 8:57 a.m. PST

Time: I'd like to do more.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP22 Apr 2018 8:58 a.m. PST

Time is always an issue.

IronDuke596 Supporting Member of TMP22 Apr 2018 9:21 a.m. PST

Yes indeed, time is always an issue.

Personal logo x42brown Supporting Member of TMP22 Apr 2018 9:40 a.m. PST

Health is an issue with the advanced ages of our group so often rescheduling or calculation of games or cutting them short happens

If I had more money then I'd probably have more time and space! 😀

Col Durnford22 Apr 2018 7:34 p.m. PST

When I started I had more time than money.

Phase 2 working more money than time.

Retired this month – no issues.

BTW all the stuff that I bought when I had more money that time is being sold for guilt free funding of my war department.

GatorDave Supporting Member of TMP23 Apr 2018 6:08 a.m. PST

Time

Wildman23 Apr 2018 6:44 a.m. PST

Money. Being retired, it is in short supply.

Jcfrog25 Apr 2018 7:02 a.m. PST

Others time, mostly.

When i started gaming with my dad at 13 in '96, my limitation was money.

When a few years went by and was a hard working teen with disposable income living at home, my limit was time.

When i was in college, my limit was space.

Post college and out with a history degree in a terrible economy, with repaying school loans and a 1 bedroom apartment- money and space.

Career change- time

Current- Marriage and a small condo- space and time.

If all 3 ever intersect i may die.
