link Something a bit different this week. A unit of Blackshirts for my North Africa Italian collection, a real home made "Wargames Conversion" (or botch job !). I have used the Perrys Afrika Korps box set and the stocking cap heads from the American Civil War Zouave box to make what I believe the kids today call a "Mash Up". Purists look away now, things may not be 100 percent right, don't want blood pressure increasing :-) Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

Very nice Ken. Nice to see someone having a go and making what they need, instead of moaning about the lack of figures in their scale. |

Nice – I plan to do the same for my Italian N. Africa Army – thanks for the inspiration – they look great. |

I like your figures. I had a similar desire for Blackshirts. I also went for the 'Perry Solution'. Zouve heads but with British colonial chassis. I saw the leggings and thought that they would be perfect. However, I forgot the collar and lapels! I ended up adding stretched sprue to some and foil/paper to others until they got 'close enough for government work'. I used arms and weapons from Perry's DAK, 8th Army and the colonials. The colonial's pistol is great looking. Still a work in progress, though, whereas yours are ready to go. Nice work. url=https://flic.kr/p/26oeP9Q]
