By the way, it's so hard to believe how in 1960 Tepoztlan (Estado de Morelos) was sufficiently sparse to film what seemed like a tiny isolated Mexican village in TM7. All the buildings, including the church, were built expressly for the film. I think they did an incredible job, if you ask me. Here's a 1930 photo of that little valley, Tepoztlan. The Mexican village in the film would be far to the back and left of this real church:
