They just showed first pack of WSS figures… stunning.

Beautiful, but maybe a little expensive. I'll admit that they're the best figures I've seen in this scale.

Why 12?

Mick, Why not? I don't know of anyone else that can match Kris' sculpting and quality of casting. Quality costs and why shouldn't those who mae better figures reap the benefits?

There is still plenty of room for all scales and new makers in the hobby. I still remain amazed at what GW products go for yet they still are top sellers overall in the world.

I say, "Let's see more of figures like these!"

They are absolutely fantastic miniatures. I have these and the Belgians.

Not a fan of gaming WW1 until I came across this superb line. Now I can't wait for VanDyck to do more of the early war.

As for cost, I will pay for excellently sculpted miniatures. But I do not feel these are overly priced.

Why not? Do I want to render the use of my sizable number of 15mm obsolete, at least visually?

so the question remains…why 12 and not 15 or 10? Not that I am advocating 10.

Guess it all depends upon what moves you. I have WWI in 6, 12 and 15. Each scale has certain advantages. I also realize that the figures I bought 10 years ago don't match what's available now. I buy new figures because I like to paint with the added value that I can also use them in my existing armies. To stick with what you used years ago till today is fine, too. Some periods I enjoyed painting a lot, have a lot of references for and plenty of good memories of games past…which is enough for me to try to recapture those great times once again, in some small way, with better sculpts. Why 12mm? Why not? SoMEONE has to do them…might as well be one of the better sculpters in the business!

Charge on!
