Probably will pass on this one.

The battle sets don't seem to have minis.

No midrange pledge levels. Seems like it's all or nothing.

That's allot of money. The game wasn't all that popular the first time around – I cannot see dumping 400.00 for a second round. Although if you wanted it just for the minis – that works out to 2.24 a mini.

My wallet is SANS MONEY, and so will pass…

Already double the money they asked for.
Golly, that's a pretty successful kickstarter.

I'd like to see more evidence that SD will fulfill the project. While they've had KS experience in RPG publishing, they haven't in miniatures. They did not show miniatures other than the former metal line. They were not able to answer questions about what plastic was used. Just earlier today, I found out that the owner has another hobby business that currently has financial difficulty. I don't have any problems with them succeeding in this KS, since they intend to release a Confrontation Boardgame (or more Confrontation miniatures), which I might be more interested in.

Only successful if they ship… Think Ernie Baker and All Quiet on the Martian Front….

@TurboCooler – Is it possible to elaborate more. Would not the molds for the PVC and ABS need metal molds, are you saying that these can be made via the masters? ---Masters are what's needed to make molds. Metal, plastic or resin. We don't need metal molds to make the plastic ones. – There is no rework that will be required? --- Maybe a bit but not that much. -For example, would not the plastic molds need deeper or bolder lines to compensate for the shrinking of the material which would be much more than metal? --- Not really no. As for Alkemy, the same masters were used to produce Plastic minis, the same in resin and even some metal samples. Not an issue at all.

It's almost like those Ice Age Miniatures guys were back again.

Nah guys, that's actually a pretty amazing price for all of that!

Consider you're getting over 200 Rackham-level detail miniatures once you add in all of the stretch goals. Plus you're getting two battle mats and six pieces of scenery, with rulers and rules and stuff? $400 USD is not expensive for all of that in the least! The problem is that people are psychologically fooled by sticker shock sometimes. When they see that total price their brain makes strange comparisons to other things of what they see as equal value, or what they perceive to be equal value. But you'll blow that amount of money on a lot of things that zero return on investment whatsoever.

But think about it. One Xbox plus two games is about $400. USD Two nights in any decent hotel at any decent vacation spot is easily $400. USD Go out to dinner a half dozen times and you'll easily spend $400. USD

Consider that Games Workshop right now is charging $300.00 USD for JUST their 4 x 6 Citadel Realm of Battle Board. Nothing but a 4 x 6 playing surface.

Indeed, not a bad price. I'm not sold on the quality of the game itself, however. Might be great for folks looking for a bunch of quality fantasy figures, though.

It's an amazing price, but KS is still not a store.

Anyone who is unfamiliar with Sans Detour, should review this Dakka thread. : link
