I have some Minifigs that I am wanting to post on Ebay and want to make sure I label them correctly. They are slightly smaller and lighter than those I purchased in the late 70's. Are they from the "s" series? |

Photographs would be useful including a ruler and any codes on the bases. |

They sound like they may be waht is called second generation. They were true 15mm. The Napoleonic horses were all in a walking pose. JimDuncan is right. Photo would help. |

The S series is relatively the same size as Hinton Hunt or 23mm figures is my understanding. Would be interested in what you have if you'd like to shoot me a list: David.l.crenshaw@gmail.com |

If you mean S Range these are nothing to do with 15mm. They are more true or small 25mm. If they are S Range they will have codes scratched on the underside of the base, all ending in S. If they are smaller than this – the same size as Hinton Hunts – then they may be the earlier Alberken/Minifigs 20mm Range. You can find photographs and lists of S Range on my Lone S Ranger blog: link And some info on Alberken/Minifigs 20mm on my old Metal Detector blog: link |

The 'S' series have noticeable large heads and sizes with Hinton Hunt the pre S ones were sizes with Airfix and the heads better scaled but less clean cast x42 |

S Range heads are not at all oversized and are perfectly proportioned , what you describe (apart from the scaling with Hinton Hunt) sounds like the later/current Minifigs 25mm Range |

Also, if mounted figures are molded to include their saddles are they more likely to be from the S series? |

Yes S Range had horse furniture cast onto the riders |
