A bit of a novelty. A LOT of pictures as this was as much a first outing/fashion parade for the combined Persians and Ottomans as it was a game but it turned out to be quite a game in the end. abcwargamers.blogspot.co.uk |

You have a phenomenal collection of beautiful figures. The pics show how, with the smaller scales, one can really get the impression of a large battle. Thanks, I really enjoyed the exotic eye candy and exciting AAR! |

Very nice. I have been tempted to collect Russians vs. Ottomans in 25mm, but there is always something else to do. |

What a gorgeous army ! the Russian commander should have been sacked for taking on a half cavalry army in open terrain , bad choice of battleground ! |

Superb. I was reading something only last week that suggested the famous (to some) break up of the Ottoman – Persian alliance v the Russians c1809-10, which is often linked to a shooting 'accident' wounding the Turk commander (and blamed on Persian irregulars) was probably an attempted assassination by a rival Turk provincial ruler. Sorry for the delay in responding, but thank you all for taking the time to post. That's an interesting titbit about the breakup of the Ottoman/Persian alliance. I was going to do Persians v Ottomans or even get the Ottomans to take on my Austrians for a bit of a change. |
