1632 is s fun novel featuring a small town in contemporary West Virginia transported back to the 30 Years War. It spawned a whole mess of good and bad followup fiction that I stopped reading after a while.

I want to do some gaming of actions in the first book.
In particular I want to do the Battle of Grantville. This had an attack by vile nasty Croat cavalry on the technologically advanced West Virginia town to steal and destroy. They are rescued by heroic Finnish Hakkapeliitta Light cavalry led by Gustavus Adolphus in his secret identity of Captain GARS.
We will need a high school. We have plenty of buildings, but if I can get some Girder and Panel sets, they would be perfect.
28mm school busses? No problem.

What I'm looking for are figure recommendations for 28mm Croats and Hakkapeliitta cavalry.

I've wanted to do this for years.
Oh. Rules? "It Came from Beyond the Still". These are fantastic rules, almost a toolbox set.

Try the Assault Group or TAG very large Thirty Year War section which is what my group is doing right now.

John,

Having read 1632, I would agree that probably all of the figures you'll need for the Croats and Finns would be found at TAG.
