Hardcopy books and hardcopy magazines.

Beaucoup books, preferably hardback.

I have never read an entire book on the internet or from any electronic device, although I have downloaded a couple.

I do read articles on the internet.

REAL Books and Magazines are made of paper. I read/collect a large volume of these wonderful items in both paperback and hardback. And I generally buy them the first week they are released.

Reading on the computer/e-books seems to much like work and is too hard on the eyes.

Now & then, I have a "large" library … Wish I read more. But the net makes obtaining information "too easy" … I still get a military history magazine though. But rarely read it cover to cover as I would like …

Vigilant12 Apr 2018 7:10 a.m. PST

Exclusively hard copy for books and magazines. Never had the battery fail on a book, or the text get corrupted or lost because the publisher shut down or changed policy.

Old Wolfman12 Apr 2018 7:17 a.m. PST

Been reading since age 2. Something comforting about a real book or magazine.

Both electronic and real.

Both.

Mostly paper at home. Mostly electronic on the road. SWMBO likes to play audiobooks on long drives.

Many thanks my friends…. now I feel so well about it… not the only one fan of books here…. (smile)

Both, but nothing beats a(real)good book.

Narratio12 Apr 2018 8:05 p.m. PST

Mulched dead tree's, my place is filled with them. Books everywhere, a tablet for reading electronic versions on the aircraft and and PC's at work/home with a a bunch more.

But my preference is still for the tactile.

khanscom12 Apr 2018 8:29 p.m. PST

Real books; they're the best because they always work, even when the batteries are dead, the electricity goes out, and I have to light the kerosene lantern ;-)

At work I get teased at lunch for reading my 'paper kindle'.

COL Scott ret13 Apr 2018 8:54 p.m. PST

Both but I like the feel of real books. Digital does have some advantages on portable devices

I can't help reading the back of cereal boxes at breakfast. I'll read anything, anytime, in any format.

I read real books, but I fear the future belongs to electronic.

Charlie 1216 Apr 2018 11:05 p.m. PST

Both

Books – yeah, all the time.

Buy 'em too.

In bookshops.

Real ones. (books and shops!)

What Ochoin said. If it is printed, I'll read it !

I read physical books all the time. I only use kindle when I can get a multi volume set of something for cheap. I also still listen to CDs and Vinyl, and still write out checks to pay bills.

legatushedlius19 Apr 2018 5:16 a.m. PST

Fiction ebooks. Non fiction real books.

cleo liebl09 May 2018 6:49 p.m. PST

Bob has some scrolled parchments from Alexandria, I believe. Also, quills and carrier pigeons. We don't have walls in our house, just bookcases. In our 20 something years together, I've discovered incredible gems of history, commentary, and whatnots.

zoneofcontrol10 May 2018 8:48 a.m. PST

Real books is my preference by a long shot.

Personal logo Stosstruppen Supporting Member of TMP13 May 2018 2:35 p.m. PST

Prefer real books by a large margin. But, I do read both.

Memento Mori14 May 2018 10:31 a.m. PST

I have not bought a fiction book in years as I read these all on line ( Kindle by Amazon is good and inexpensive and can read on both my PC and laptop) For my History and gaming purchases I prefer the touch of a real book

Old Contemptibles16 May 2018 9:08 a.m. PST

Real books look better on my bookshelves. I prefer to read real books over digital.

+1 Rallynow. I'm the same.

FatherOfAllLogic31 May 2018 7:51 a.m. PST

Books. I read more books in a week than all my co-workers read in a year. And so they assume I know everything.

Please delete me01 Jun 2018 7:59 a.m. PST

Read about a book a week

Wulfgar07 Jun 2018 8:05 p.m. PST

I recently bought "The Sagas of the Icelanders" in both digital and paperback. The paperback is a ponderous 760 pages. Though the backlight on my iPad hurts my eyes if its too bright, I've decided to read the digital copy and save the binding on the paper book.

Choctaw14 Jun 2018 10:31 a.m. PST

I still love real books but I'm not opposed to reading Kindle books on my phone.
