It is a nice model and paint job. But every time I see a WWII IJF AFV it looks like something Orks would build & use ! |

I'll agree with that. It takes a very special mind set to put torpedoes on a "tank". |

Nice model – and I agree, seeing torpedoes on a tank is a very different idea! |

You guys think the tank with torpedoes looks odd?!? You should see a "Kate" with one of those tanks strapped under each wing !!! |

Just read up on this vehicle. Its not a tank and not armored it was designed to be a amphibious re-supple craft to be carried and launched from submarines. Later it was decided to use it to attack US battleships in difficult to attack anchorages so they added the torpedoes. The war ended before it could be deployed. |

To attack a battleship with that is not a good idea… Amicalement Armand |

Reminds me of the German Land-Wasser-Schlepper … link But I'm pretty sure they never mounted torpedoes on it … |

You guys think the tank with torpedoes looks odd?!? You should see a "Kate" with one of those tanks strapped under each wing !!! What nonsense is this? An airplane carrying tanks in WW2? Yeah, like we're gonna believe that! Next thing you know, you'll be telling us they dropped the tanks like they were torpedoes!
Errrr, mmmm, right. Nevermind…. -Mark (aka: Mk 1) |
