I Managed to finally finish these old Der Kriegspieler and Hinton Hunt figures. They were a bear to customize and paint, but am very pleased with the final results. More photos on my blog: miniatureminions.blogspot.com

They're beautiful! You've breathed new life into those wonderful old figures. |

New life indeed – they were a rough crew to begin with that is for sure! Of course what would you expect from a bunch of tough bearded cossacks. |

Congratulations…great conversion work and some very good research gone into these. Did you really hand paint the guidon/pennant? Impressed+++ |

Thanks Deadhead. The guidon is hand painted and was actually one of the easier flags I have done, and actually takes very little time. I paint them flat before wrapping around the pole, which makes painting a flag so much easier than when cast on! And of course thanks for your help with that research. I believe it was you who pointed out that the lances would not have a pennant. Cant tell you how relieved I was not to have to paint all of those little s! |

The euphemism for snot is bleeped? How strange…Or is that a UK slang for something less wholesome? |

Oh – I misspelled it. Should have been boogers. Live and learn. |
