A Prussian battery for my ongoing Prussian brigade. Perry's figures.

Nice to see the weathering… What did you use for the rigging? |

It's actually soft plastic radio arial cable ripped from a bust up radio in my garage, just the right diameter, easy to cut and flexible. Undercoated dk brown and the 'rope' painted on. Dave. |

Excellent work! I see you have kept Prussian blue very dark as I have. There is speculation that it was considerably lighter in color. I like Perry figures, but find them small compared to my Calpe Prussians. You have a fine looking collection. |

Thanks wgrm1, don't know about the original Dk blue but I would imagine that the colour lightened as the campaign/years went on, no expert though! I love Calpe but their ordering process is a bit of a pain, one figure here, one figure there, make a list and send it in. Perrys – 5 clicks, plus one for PayPal and £50.00 GBP spent. People will often chose the easier option. Dave. |

The drivers for Perry certainly would not want to get into any sort of fracas with the Calpe ones. The former are particularly slender tichy little weeds, next to the big butch Calpe folk. But then I simply love the sculpting of the Perry chaps man-hauling the gun. Great poses and I used them a few years ago in my Road to Plancenoit Diorama, but facing the other way trying to get the gun through the Belgian mud! |
