Yes, all are good reads. And his AWI books are just as good. All have interesting character development. Dave PS: He was a history professor before his political career. |

I have really enjoyed them all. The third book at the end was a little too 'happy ever after', that and Union commanders seemed to get killed with alarming regularity. Otherwise very well researched and written. The battles were some of the best described in historical fiction. He has AWI books as well? Wow. I will look for them. |

"To Try Men's Souls" is one of the books in the AWI series and it is one of the best books that I've ever read. |

Thank you everyone for the great new ideas. I've always wanted to re-do Gettysburg, starting from a federal loss. In the campaign we ran many years ago, a resurgent Union army defeated the Army of Northern Virginia. |
