I don't want to turn this into a list of 89 people, where the vote gets whittled down.

Rules. You can choose 4, AND ONLY 4, people you would like to sit with at a good old fashioned dinner party. You may not choose more than 4; if you do, your entire party will not be in the Poll.
The guests may be as diverse, or non diverse as you wish.
If you want to invite more than 4, the overflow can only be at separate ranked, and that table is a different poll option.
I hope this is clear. Give reasons why, too, although the final poll, if there is one, need not give reasons.

Table 1.
General George S Patton
Richard Feynman, physicist
Camille Paglia, feminist
Muddy Waters, blues man
Reason? I want my table to sing Mannish Boy after the dishes are cleared. Patton can join in with his high tenor, if he can stop flirting with Camille. Feynman can play spoons, if he's not too busy cracking safes.

Table 2.
Aaron Burr
Ringo Starr
Linus Pauling
Bill O'Reilly
I dearly want to hear Bill explain the nature of the chemical bond to Ringo, and hear Pauling ask Burr just what the heck he was up to.

Note. These two tables do not mix. This is a list of two and only two options. It is not a list of 8.

And Me……

I get to sit in on the dinner that resulted in the Compromise of 1790. The dinner would be excellent (Jefferson served a wonder table); it would be fascinating to hear how they worked out the Compromise which changes the country. And best of all to watch Jefferson's and Madison's faces after they realised Hamilton had seriously out foxed them.

Now that you have your guest list …

What would you serve ? evil grin

Catered, "home cooked" or at a restaurant's private dining room ? And just order off the menu ? laugh

And most importantly … who paying for this/gets the bill ? money huh?

Winston Smith05 Apr 2018 6:42 a.m. PST

I would like to have
Mozart

I would like to hear them discuss where the money is to be made in their fields, while still doing good stuff.
