Hi Nice set-up. Question what were the colors did you used on your modular Cliff Terrain Project?

Very good: Great idea for a makeshift fort. Looks like agricultural storage box for things like lentils. Which are devilishly difficult to find photos of on the web. But:

I would have loved to shown the ones I have seen in person as they get stained and labeled in some very interesting ways. |

My thanks to everyone for all of the nice comments. Wackmole9, The paint on the cliff project was a custom mix of artists acrylics, mostly Golden brand, except for the white. I started with a 50/50 mix of white and burnt sienna, then added a little black, probably not more than 5%, to darken and 'gray" the mix a bit. That made up most of the base coat. One strata got a similar mix of white and yellow ocre with dust a touch of black in it. There were also some splashes of yellow on the other strata. I then took some of the base of each and added white, making a lighter medium shade, and an even lighter highlight shade. Each coat was applied with 1.5 inch brush from the hardware store, with the mid-tone applied as a "wet" drybrushing, and the lightest shade as a more proper dry brushing. |
