Hi! This mini represents a fife player of one of the Chasseurs à pied de la garde regiments. Hope you like him :)
I have another fife player to paint, I would to represent a musician in the Bataillon de Neuchâtel, but I couldn't find any evidence of such musician, what do you think ? More pictures and explanations here:

Looks like your chap is playing for his supper, but has been locked out! Nicely done!
I am sure that you know far more about this than I do, but I imagine and any Neufchatel musicians turned out like drummers. Whether they had a fifer or not……..?
