Bill,
Asking once again if you can restore author search, which provides a very useful way of tracking one's posts.

If there is some sort of performance issue at the root of this, would limiting the searches to the past two years be of some help?

Thanks.

I very much agree. Its absence has been a major hassle.

All searches have been scratched.

Yes, it is high time for this to be fixed.

Yes, It needs fixing. What's the point of having this huge well of information if you can't dip into it.

Agreed, author search capability would be great.

Alternate suggestions:
a. Allow users to sort the message board feed by "latest activity," as well as the current, "latest posted."

b. Allow users to configure the message board feed to contain only their posts, sorted by either latest original post, or latest activity. So, if I've selected 400 topics to appear on my homepage, I will view the last 400 topics I've commented on.

Google "TMP" and the poster's handle. It's a C- way of getting the outcome you want, but it beats nothing.

I use Google for general searching on TMP (which I did before search was nerfed as well), but the sorting an formatting that I've outlined above isn't available.

Agreed. I used to follow threads by author. Having no search function makes Tmp much less useful to me. It also makes it feel sorta broken down and old. Like what issue will pop up next.
