Being an old ACW gamer, I quite naturally have a collection of the Heritage 15mm "Confederettes" figures from the 1970's. I keep them separate from my newer Old Glory, AB, Stone Mountain figs because they are quite a bit smaller. I would like to expand the Heritage collection a bit, but they are getting harder and harder to find. So I was wondering if, given that they are rather on the "low" end of the 15's, there might be any of the larger 10mm's that would work with them. I noticed that Kallistra's seem to be rather the "high" end of that scale. Has anyone ever had occasion to compare the two and, if so, how close are they? Thanks.

I personally wouldn't do it, even in separate units. I don't have any Kallistra any longer, but have a slew of Empire/Heritage and compared them at the time. A full head less in height, and then there is the difference in weaponry and kit. Horses will be drastically different as well.

I have two comparison pics sent to me by Kallistra. Send me an email (ohioatperryville @ gmail.com) and I will share them. The Musket Miniatures 15mm figures tower over Kallistra.

Kallistra are 12mm so are distinctly larger than most 10mm figures but fall a bit short of 15mm figures.

I'm sure there is a blog somewhere with comparison photos of lots of 10/12/15 mm figures. Maybe someone could tell us.

Sorry not got a any Confederettes, but have a lot of Napoleonettes. Here's what I have found matches them. Napoleonettes are 12/13mm to the eye, so I too have oft wondered if big 10mm would tie in.

Naismith are spot on, identical. Recently changed hands, there was an ACW range but not in production for a long time. Now listed on the website but no products in the range yet. Might be worth an e-mail? (Now NaismithRoundway)

Minifigs: cavalry matches in but current infantry are considerably taller. Wagons and limbers match in reasonably well, artillery is noticeably bigger though. Vintage ranges match better.

Peter Pig: they don't make Napoleonics bar a couple of packs, but comparing my PP ECW to Napoleonettes they are a very good match. Some of the newer sculpts are marginally taller but not by very much. Big ACW range, might be worth a sample pack to see.

Essex: whole head and shako taller.

Hallmark, slender (in comparison) and a bit taller. Noticeably different. Sculpting style too different.

Roundway, much taller, very different stylewise. Not a good mix.

I've not tried them but Warrior are supposed to match quite well. Know nothing about them, don't even know if they make an ACW range.

If 15mm is considered 6 feet, A gamer 3 feet off the game board is or over 300 feet high to scale. At that point, slight differences in color are meaningless.
