Was this supplement ever an actual book or was it just available as a pdf? Thanks. U.K. |

I've actually got that book, but there are a number of separate downloads under the RoR tile. I was assuming RoR was a follow-up to DoW. I cant seem to get solid info on it. Not a biggy. I just wanted to buy a hard copy if such a thing existed. Thanks! |

From memory the Dogs of War book existed pre-sixth edition. After that it was separated into two WD articles, then into the annuals. One was DoW as a "proper" army, the other was RoR which brought back all the named heroes and units to be used in DoW armies or in other appropriate armies. Cheers |

From memory the Dogs of War book existed pre-sixth edition. After that it was separated into two WD articles, then into the annuals. One was DoW as a "proper" army, the other was RoR which brought back all the named heroes and units to be used in DoW armies or in other appropriate armies. In the 6th edition context (which I presume Uesugi is after), the original WD articles were in issues 251 (Dogs of War) and 252 (Regiments of Reknown). However, later on there were also a couple of additional RoR entries published in WD, such as Mengil Manhide's Manflayers, Rugluds Armoured Orcs and Cursed Company. Updated version of the RoR list featuring these units was included in the Warhammer Annual 2004. The 5th edition Dogs of War book, published in 1998, may not be useful ruleswise for 6th edition gaming, but it contains some great background reading (though somewhat tongue-in-cheek). |
