SO, I've been collecting AM kits for a couple of years and am finally assembling what I have; need some advice on Rangers/Vanguard special weapons. I have 5 boxes of dudes and was hoping to get some input on which weapon upgrades to build, and how well each performs in-game for y'all. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

I have 3 units of Vanguard with Radium guns and Plasma and then two units of Rangers. One with 10 men and galvanic rifles and one is a smaller unit with the arquebus for picking out characters. Provides a nice base of firepower. |

I like to use 3 units of 5 rangers, each with 2 transuranic arquebii for my Troops. But my army isn't really focused on skitarii. I also like using units of 10 vanguard with just their basic rifles. I don't really like stats of the arc rifle, and the transuranic arquebus seems too expensive except in the sniper spam I mentioned above. That leaves the plasma caliver, which IMO is a very good weapon, but its so many point I usually go with bare bones squads of Vanguards. Sorry for the wishy washy answer, I'm still working out what I would use in a more skitarii based force, but its food for thought I guess. |
