I have the three Clansmen of Lamedon, from the Lord of the Rings Miniatures Game.

I would like to bulk their numbers to a dozen or more without repeating the same miniatures.

Can anyone suggest other Fantasy or Historical miniatures that would complement the GW Clansmen of Lamedon?

Thanks in advance.

I never heard of them before. Are they even in the Book?
So I googled the figures and see long haired Scots in tartan with a 2 handed sword and wearing a breastplate. Good luck finding anything like that!
However, if you wish to drop the breastplate, you might want to consider medieval Scots with 2 handed swords. I have a few from Dixon. Try ECW Scots in other ranges if that's good enough. Use the "official" ones as officers.
You might also consider medieval Scots in mail.

Style wise Reaper's Highlanders would be a good match IMHO but I suspect the size difference would make it moot. If I remember right GW LOTR are on the small side. LMK if you want me to measure one of the Reaper guys.

You could use:

Old Glory ECW Scottish Highlanders with assorted weapons: link

Old Glory Jacobite Highlanders with swords: link

They are all going to be equipped differently than your Lamedon clansmen but you could use those three as commanders/heroes.

The ebob clansmen are a hair too slight in my tastes, as I have a set I bought for this purpose. The GW metal models are not small like the plastic sets. The Reaper models are a better fit. Old Glory figures are likewise a bit smaller than the GW figures.

IIRC there is mention of some men from Lamedon arriving to the defense of Minas Tirith in the beginning of RotK, along with the men from the other fiefs, but there is not much description of them.

As I recall they were described as Axemen.

Perhaps Galloglaich or Gallowglass figures in mail would work too.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am not actually going to use them for LOTR but generic fantasy Warband using Dragon Rampant.

I have checked out some of the options and some of the Warlord Clansmen and Ebob look like contenders. Antediluvian miniatures have some Gallowglass that might work as well.

I really appreciate you taking the time to help and make suggestions.

"Hillmen" of Lame (Lamedon) "From Lamedon, a few grim hillmen without a captain."

"Axemen" of Lossar (Lossarnach) "…a dusty line of men, well-armed and bearing great battle-axes…"
