Having followed the thread on FOW forum ref closure of forum and moving to FB ,a high percentage of comments came from people who deal in security and either wont or are barred from using FB due to insecurity, and BF basically sticking their fingers in their ears and humming loudly to comments. Its ironic that 1 week after the closure of forum Mark Zuckerberg is on the naughty step both in the U.S & U.K. I hope for BF sake that they haven't got Gerald Ratner on their board of directors .:) This is only a dig at the closure of the forum. I played FOW from V.1 but am sticking to V.3.5 Coco |

Is Zuckerberg a FoW player? |

I have never tried FOW. But I would like to jump into V4. However I have never used FB and have no intention of starting. |

I enjoyed the FOW forums for Battlefront specific topics, but I deleted my Facebook account long ago. No intention of ever making a new one either, so it's a sad end to a useful resource. |

If you're on Facebook you won't be hearing from me! |

Facebook is fine, unless you are stupid enough to take part in on-line questionnaires or detail every facet of your life on an open setting. |

Facebook really stinks for tying a community together. It is great for quick pics of people showing off…. but not for an kind of discussion |

I wouldn't touch FB with a 10-foot Bangalore. |

They just more control of the narrative. They will delete any negative posts as fast as a blitz move. |

No FB for me. Pure waste of valuable gaming time. I found it interesting approximately one year after releasing Ver4.0 the FOW forum almost disappears. The release was that bad? Events only now and BF trying to post AAR or battle report on main page contest to show players are still playing the game in large numbers. Thats a laugh, with Ver4.0 rules questionable at best since they gave up "fixing" the poorly tested rules set. Looking around…. I belong to a rare group of active Ver3.1 players. the rest have changed games and miniature sources since BF dropped their side of hobby promotion (via the read forum). BF is now just a miniature manufacturer and their real world competitors are eating their cake on price and variety. |

This looks like a decent alternative: link |

They just more control of the narrative. They will delete any negative posts as fast as a blitz move. Apparently less so on FB. There have been people posting (very obviously) third-party kits and BF staff are turning a blind eye. They would never allow things like PSC Pattons on the forum. This looks like a decent alternative: link Yeah until they approve my application, a month to the date… |

Apparently less so on FB. There have been people posting (very obviously) third-party kits and BF staff are turning a blind eye. Could be because most of the admin/mods are New Zealand based and work for BF ? So if you can work out what NZ office hours are at your location , the post could be up for 10 + hours or longer on a weekend . |
