Does Chariot rampant significantly improve the rules for chariot warfare? It seems to me Lion Rampant would work well as it is (just have each chariot count as 2 horsemen).

I have Egyptians and Libyans. I was just going to call the chariots elite yeoman cavalry, and the Libyans foot yeoman with mixed weapons.

Chariot Rampant adds things like move/shoot (skirmish) as an easy activation for Chariots.
Having said that, we didn't really feel that the game engine worked well for chariot warfare; it feels like a medieval skirmish with added chariots rather than a biblical game.

I would do chariot rampant. Also it's free.
