With a sneer of derision and a simple nod, as if to barley acknowledge his existence. My mom warned me that my face would get stuck like that, and it did.

Usually I'll loudly bellow my pedigree & lineage, then boast of the many warriors I have slain in single combat. Then when I see my opponent is suitably impressed, I'll question his manhood & challenge him if he has the courage…

Damon.

My pre-game greeting usually goes: "Hello handsome. You are looking especially good today. Pleasant after shave and a look of sophistication and an air of advanced intelligence. It is so good to share this moment with you."

Of course, I do a lot of solo gaming so I never like to lie to myself.

Usual pleasantries, to me, wargaming is a social activity and best treated as such.

In multi-player games I like to surreptitiously pass one of the opposing commanders a fiver, whispering "This is for keeping your troops out of the fight, my good man. See you to it." Sowing dissension in the ranks, don't you know.

The trouble is they tend to just buy themselves a beer and then proceed to crush me.
