On this day in 1815, Napoleon arrives in Paris to begin the "100 Days". |

Oh bless him. If he stays (US Historian) or had stayed (UK Historian….funny convention that….) on Elba, what would we have had to row about? No one really cares about anything before 1812 and even that owes much to Tolstoy and a catchy tune with some loud bangs. Imagine if just one of those "Soldiers of the Fifth" had, even accidentally, pulled his trigger. Or the artillery officer of legend had been allowed by Christopher Plummer to "Try a Shot"…..which hit…. So many TMP threads would be so much shorter tho'. |

On this day in 1815, Napoleon arrives in Paris to begin the "100 Days". Surely you mean "Those nasty warmongering allies – force-fed gold by the evil British – forced Napoleon to return to Paris to begin the '100 Days"? (Ooops, almost forgot – LOL!!!) |

SuperMax. Don't go stealing Kevin's act. That would be snarky. |

Unnecessary gentlemen, really not needed. Napoleon, like many a warrior before him (and after) caused significant loss of life and no doubt many other horrors. But as a toy soldier fan, I can say that he has given me over 40 years of toy soldier fun. Nothing nasty on these threads will ever take that from me |

a catchy tune with some loud bangs. That spinning sound is Tchaikovsky in his grave, heh heh. Imagine if …[]…the artillery officer of legend had been allowed by Christopher Plummer to "Try a Shot"…..which hit…. Moreau would certainly have nodded his approval and considered karma to have been well-served… |
